Creating Our First Game in Unity

After learning the fundamentals of the software, we were tasked with creating a simple game that followed a given prompt. I was confused when this assignment was first posted because it felt like we would have a bunch of extra time. This was a misunderstanding because many unexpected issues arose as we started building. Errors would pop up when we loaded in assets, there were problems with the colliders on prefabs, our player was too small for the map. Things got very complicated very fast, and it's been an entertaining challenge trying to solve these problems by trial and error. We have yet to finish the project but, so far, it has given me a greater appreciation for game designers that are tasked with creating games much more complicated than this one.
