Unity has been familiar and exciting so far. There are a lot of aspects similar to those of 3D Studio max and other creative software. At the same time, there have been a lot of exciting new features, and I can't wait to make my first game using the engine. I've technically made games before, but nothing more than mini games, this feels completely different. Making real games has always interested me, and I feel like I can finally make the creative choices I've wanted to see in other games on my own. The techniques seem pretty simple after some of the other software ins and outs we've had to learn but on a much more complicated level. Since we're combining modeling, coding, texturing, and more into one big project there are a lot of things to keep track of. I don't think the organization will be too big of a problem though since the Unity Engine has so many ways to tag and file assets. I think this holds a lot of promise, and I can't wait to dig in further.
