We're halfway through the school year, and I feel like I've already really improved in 3D modeling. Now that we've covered the basics, I'm excited to learn about the more complicated possibilities in 3D Studio Max. We've already started covering the materials and maps that make rendering a more crucial step, and that alone should have a big impact on the final product of a lot of models. I'm excited to keep moving forward and improving my projects.
We've also started drawing scenes instead of characters which has never been my forte, so I hope to pick up on the skills needed pretty quickly. My skills with drawing realistic figures have improved, but I still have quite a bit to learn about realism before I'm satisfied with my art. This next phase of sketches should help me learn some new strategies and important things about perspective.
