Officially finishing my first project with the unity engine is a big step. Even if it's not really a real game, I can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. It took way longer than I thought it would and there were so many little problems that I had to painstakingly fix one by one, but it was a lovely learning experience. There might not be much of a plot, or any interesting mechanics, but I was pretty pleased with how my project turned out. I'm reluctant to call it an actual game since you don't do much other than walk through a lit path, but at least its a pretty cool looking path. I can't wait to do more going forward and create games that are actually fun to play instead of just walk through. Now that I know more about how to traverse the unity engine I look forward to putting a little more spark in it next time. Creating concept art and original ideas for new games for a separate activity makes me want to get back into creating as soon as possible but I know I still have a lot to learn about making games.
